I am currently completing my studies with the University of Calgary's Master of Teaching Program where I will receive my Bachelor of Education degree this spring. I also hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Victoria where I completed a Writing Major and a Film Studies Minor.

I have a particular interest in how technology and differentiation can work in a classroom to improve and deepen student learning. Through my work in the MT Program, I have used inquiry and other teaching methodologies. My classroom will be filled with enthusiasm and creativity as students grapple real-world problems as they relate to their curriculum.

During my practicum experiences, I designed, delivered and assessed learning in all subject areas using a wide variety of instructional techniques. As well, I designed an integrated farming unit for a multi-aged Grade 1/2 class where learning expectations were exceeded. This unit combined several subject areas including social studies, science, fine arts and language arts. I became an active member of my schools' communities, participating in several extracurricular activities. My praxis evaluation states that my "sense of responsibility and accountability matches a good work ethic and a desire to make a positive difference in children's learning and lives."

I will bring enthusiasm, creativity, proven teaching ability, leadership and a deep passion to see all students find success in their learning.
