Month
8 (Aug 13 - Sep 12, 2005)
Well,
this has certainly been a busy month, full of change and new things!
The biggest and most obvious change is that we moved. On August
12th, Mom and Dad's small group came and packed us up and cleaned
our house. On the 13th, after a bit of delay because of the trailer
for the car, we drove up to our new home. There were about 15
people waiting to help us move in from the local church. What
a warm and welcome sight that was! They had all our stuff up the
4 flights of stairs and into our appartment in 45 minutes! Wow!
I
have been working hard on my motor skills. Now, I can roll over
like an expert and I use my new found freedom to explore everything!
I am starting to pull myself up to kneeling and occasionally,
I will rock on my hands and knees. Dad thinks I will start crawling
this week, Mom thinks it will be in early October.
I
have cut 2 new teeth. The first and most established is my left
lower incisor (next to the where the front two teeth would be)
the second is just a tiny white speck right now and it the twin
to the first on the right side. Mom can see a red spot around
the right lower front area too, so that may surface in a few days.
I am eating little bananna bits now, but I don't like mixed textures
like potato chunks in my mashed potatoes etc. I gag and make a
big stink over mixed textures. Mom is trying to make my food,
but I really hate everything she makes (except yoghurt and fruit).
She is not quite sure what to do with me!
I
am sleeping well again. I had a rough few nights after we moved,
but Mom got me back on schedule again. Now I am going to bed at
7 or 7:30 pm and I usually wake up around 7 am. I like to nap
for 1 1/2 - 2 hrs at 9 am and 2 pm. Pretty nice life hey!? Every
weekday, after lunch, Mom and I walk to the post office to get
the mail. That is usually our big outing of the day.
Auntie
Dawne came to visit us for a few days and we had so much fun together!
We played and went to the park. Mom and Dad got to go on a birthday
date too!
We
went to the Mud Bog races one day, and we also saw a little rodeo
on the settelment where Dad's students live. Mom took me hiking
and to the heritage Mission site. Mom and I also went to 'the
city' (Edmonton) to do some banking and shopping. That is about
it! You will have to come and visit me and see my new home!
