Month 6: (June 13 - July 12, 2005)

'Hi' again! This past month, while not as adventurous as last month, has still brought some changes.

If you have not heard yet, Dad got a teaching job, and we are moving to Lac La Biche, AB. He will be teaching junior high (6-9) Language Arts and Social Studies. His job is actually in the hamlet of Caslan - about 65 km from LLB. It is a K-9, 100% Metis school. The school focuses on fine arts and seems to be having a lot of sucess with that. So, we are moving to LLB August 13th. If you are interested, you can follow these links to learn more about the Lake Land Region: http://www.laclabicheregion.ab.ca/ , http://cd.laclabicheregion.ab.ca/Living.htm . This is the apartment we will be living in: http://www.dynastyproperties.net/laclabicheproperties.htm . (We are in the Juliana Manor). Use your browsers back button to return to this page.

Aside from that, I got my giggle back on June 13. That may sound odd, but I lost it somewhere between Victoria and Calgary. Mom sure missed hearing my giggles! I went to Heritage Park a couple times and got very scared by a battle re-creation. I went to a couple baseball games too. We drove up to LLB for Dads interview and stayed the night in a hotel. I did pretty well on the drive and only screamed for about an hour on the way there. I also went to Fairmont, BC with Mom and the Brands for two nights. Dad had to work, so he did not get to go. Then, we had our yard sale, and the next day I went to a Stampede Breakfast at church and a BBQ at the Carters. Mom has started to work 4 hours a week, and she is enjoying that. Looking back, I guess it was a pretty full month!

I have continued to work on sitting up and I am getting better at it each day. I have also started solids and I am enjoying rice cereal and sweet potatoes three times a day. I am gettting less messy when I eat now. I still like to blow the occasional raspberry while my mouth is full of food! (It keeps Mom on her toes ;) ) I got my 6 month vaccinations and I was 16 lb 1 oz, and 25 inches long! Half a year ago I was 8 lb 4 oz and 20.5 inches long. I remain in the 50th percentile for weight and just a smidge under the 50th for height. I was sleeping VERY poorly after our trip to Victoria, but, after much hard work and 3 very long nights, I am sleeping 12 hours at night and having two 1-1.5 hr naps during the day. Mom is much happier and feels like she has her life back! My bedtime is now between 6:30 and 7:30 pm. I still have the occasional bad night, but not often.

That is all until next month. Mom plans to have Month 7 uploaded the day before we move. So check for it August 12th. (That is also Mom and Dads 5th wedding anniversary)
