Month
11 Summary (Nov. 13 - Dec. 12, 2005)
Welcome
back! The next time you read one of these summaries, I will be
a whole year old! Time flies!
My
biggest leaps this month have been in communication. I not sign
'More', 'Hi', 'Bye' and 'big'. I am pretty clear in telling Mom
or Dad when I want a drink instead of food, but it comes across
as more of a whine than a sign. They are working on that with
me.
I
crawl like a pro now and I am starting to cruise along the furniture.
I have even let go and stood on my own for a few seconds. I have
also figured out how to stand up using only a wall to help me.
I have mastered taking out those 'childproof' electric plug covers.
They only slow me down for about 3 seconds.
I
have also been examining and studying the properties of liquid
on my highchair tray. Did you know that liquid can't be picked
up, but can be moved around with a finger? Mom has also caught
me trying to catch a ray of light shining through the window a
few times. I usually giggle when I am trying to catch the light
because it feels warm but there is nothing in my hand. How does
that work?
Dad
is positive I said "Okay...Daddy" to him. I am sure
I said it, I am just not sure I know exactly what the phrase means...
No first words will be counted until Mom and Dad are sure I am
using them in context and with understanding.
My
Nana came to visit for a week. We had lots of fun together. Mom
and Dad got to go on a really long date. They went to the West
Edmonton Mall without me. They saw the new Narnia movie and did
a little shopping and played a couple rounds of the remote control
bumper boats. The jury is still out on who won that battle.
On
Dec 12, I cut my very first tooth! Finally! Yeah! My left lower
middle tooth is on its way and the right lower middle tooth is
close behind. I am finally not going to look like a little baby
any more! I am a big girl now!
Check
back next month for Christmas photos and stories as well as my
first birthday pictures.
Have
a Joyful Christmas!
